CSBG Participating in Baldy Rd. Adopt-a-Route

The CSBG has adopted a portion of Baldy road from Evey Canyon to Shinn Road. What this means is that every time we ride up Baldy Road to Shinn Road, we take a few minutes to pick up trash along the way. The trash can be deposited in the containers across the street from the ranger station on Shinn Road. Let’s all remember to do this and before long, this section of Baldy Road will be clean.

May 19: Bike To Work Pitstop

The City of Claremont hosted a Bike to Work Pitstop at the Claremont Depot on May 19, 2011. This event was sponsored by Metro, Foothill Transit, Claremont Senior Bike Group, and the City of Claremont. The event featured refreshments, information, maps, and bicycle tune ups.

Be part of the solution, and take the opportunity to promote alternative commuting options while supporting sustainability principles.

Grand Opening: Ontario Community Bike Shop

There’s a new bike shop in town! The Ontario Community Bike Shop is a place where people in the community can have fun and fix their bikes for the cost of parts, while learning at the same time.

The Ontario Community Bike Shop held its Grand Opening Party on Saturday November 20 from 2 PM to 7 PM at 132 E. H Street, Ontario. There was free food and a live band.

The students at Pitzer College gathered community interest and, hopefully, enough volunteers to make this a continuing cooperative.
