I have been a member of the CSBG for quite awhile but I do not ride with the group too often. Unfortunately I still have to work full time; But whenever I did ride on Saturday mornings, Bill would always ask about my husband Helmuth. Helmuth has not been able to do any long bike rides in several years because he has Parkinsons so Bill has not seen him for a while but everytime I saw Bill he would ask how Helmuth is doing. Such a nice man; such a loss.

I rode with the group for the first time on 4/25 and Bill was the first member I met as he rode up to the Joselyn Center. He embraced a novice to the cycling world by giving me pointers, encouraging me, and assuring safety. All the members were friendly, open, and patient, and I look forward to riding with the group again. Even though my contact with Bill was brief, the memories left behind are of a warm and caring person.
